Ciao Stringa,
First post here. Issue to be discussed: Concert Repertoire a.k.a. St. Pauls Suite.
Due to some of the feedback from seniors And juniors regarding the suitability of this piece to be played in our one and only concert this year.
First, it is overrated, at least in Singapore's classical music scene. That's what I feel, and that's what I observe as well. I bet some of you might just feel the same way.
Implications: may not be attractive enough a selling point of our concert. Just by Dvorak Symphony may not be enough.
Second, it is largely, technically manageable to most people (no offense to the others) and might be boring to some, whilst others simply don't like it.
Implications: may not serve our purpose of learning more about strings music and gaining more exposure if we stay within our comfort zones.
Was searching for a suitable replacement.
Criteria:
Not too technically demanding, but challenging enough
Familiar (or at least sounds familiar) to the public
Exciting :)

HCSE BATCH 1112 HOBO OUTING!!!!!!!!Instead of the regular and common december outing (chalet), our batch have decided to go overnight hobo-ing instead.
HERE IS THE ORIGINAL PLAN:
1) MIND'S CAFE EAT LUNCH AND PLAY
2) WALK WALK TALK TALK AROUND DHOUBY GAUT
3) WOODLAND'S WATERFRONT PARK:D4
) CHANGI AIRPORT HOBO NIGHT WHOOOO!!!
haha although things did not go exactly as planned, we have had lots and lots of fun!!! Sorry to those who were overseas, sick, stuff on etc.. :(( ITS OK:D WE PLAN TO HOBO AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS SO SUCCESSFUL:D rmb to stay healthy, keep your days free and then join us okkk:DDD <3 :D Starting at the MINDS' CAFE~
We played in the Minds' Cafe all the way until 6pm:D Then we went over to SCAPE to play arcade~~ we stayed in the arcade till near 8pm and we left for woodlands waterfront park.
WAITING FOR THE BUS~
LOOK AT THE PRETTY SCENERY:D credits to
enying:D
CAMWHORING :DDDD
The time we spent in Woodlands Waterfront Park is what we call "Return to Childhood:)" where we played games we used to play when we were kids:)) such as Ice and Melt:D
We also climbed the massive structure in the park
ALL SUCCESSFULLY ON BOARD:D
AT THE PLAYGROUND
We left the playground at near 11.oopm, thinking that we would be able to catch the last train. BUT we were so unlucky... we missed the last train to city hall from woodlands... We had to take a detour to Jurong East. We were furiously checking the timings of the last train from Jurong East to Changi Airport. Just as we entered Jurong East, another train on the green line travelling towards Pasir Ris entered the station.
BUT BUT BUT the train left without the doors opening :O
ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE><
AT JURONG EAST INTERCHANGE
LUCKILY, kailin's house was super near Jurong, at West Coast... So We decided to spend the night at her house since there was no else we could go...
On the super empty 51A at 12. 15a.m
Unfortunately, 51A doesn't go all the way to Kailin's house as it was the last bus as well. Thus we alighted midway and had to walk:D
It was an awesome walk in the dark as we told countless ghost stories and enjoyed the chilly wee hours wind together^^ After about an hour plus walk following the park connectors, we arrived in Mcdonalds in West Coast Park to eat our Supperish Dinner.
At Mcdonalds at 2 a.m plus :D
NIGHT VIEW FROM KAILIN'S HOUSE:)
We spent a sleepless night at Kailin's house as we chatted and played many simple games:)) Early in the morning at 7 plus a.m, we decided to set off to travel to Changi Airport which we have set to be our Final Destination.
GUYS "DYING" IN THE MRT
FINALLY WE ARE AT CHANGI
We FINALLY reached Changi Airport!! We went Swensens to eat breakfast and Ice Cream:DD
And then we travelled to terminal 3 to eat Lunch:DD at Pastamania:DD
CRAYON DRAWING FUN:D
We successfully spend 24 hours together:D It was a really really fun outing and hopefully in our next hobo outing, everybody would be free to join us:DDDD
